This electric starter block-off plate is used when the starter assembly has been removed from Harley-Davidson Ironhead models.
The plate seals the starter opening in the engine case, preventing oil leakage and debris intrusion after converting from electric start to kick-only operation. Proper sealing is important to maintain oil system integrity once the starter components are eliminated.
Designed for XLH and XLCH models from 1970 through 1978 where the starter assembly has been removed, this block-off plate is intended for stock-style case openings on Ironhead engines.
This part replaces Harley-Davidson OEM 31460-70 and is Made in the USA! At Boomers Bike Shop, we stock conversion and service parts that fit correctly and belong on real Ironhead builds.
Fits Harley-Davidson Models:
XLH: 1970–1978 (starter assembly removed)
XLCH: 1970–1978
⚠️ For use only when the electric starter assembly has been removed.
