This JIMS pinion shaft bushing is designed for Harley-Davidson Big Twin engines using a stock-style pinion shaft.
The bushing supports the pinion shaft in the engine case and is critical for maintaining correct gear alignment and oil control within the cam and timing gear assembly. Worn or damaged pinion bushings can lead to excessive gear wear and improper engine operation.
Designed for Harley-Davidson Big Twin models from 1954 through 1992, this bushing is intended for Panhead, Shovelhead, and early Evolution engine applications during engine rebuild or service work.
This part replaces Harley-Davidson OEM 25582-54 and 25582-73. Manufactured in the United States by JIMS. At Boomers Bike Shop, we stock internal engine components that fit correctly and are trusted for real Big Twin engine builds. Eastern does make a cheaper bushing but when installed you MUST reem out the bushing, with this JIMS bush there is far less reaming that will need to be done, in some case there was no reaming need!
Big Twin: 1954–1992
⚠️ Designed for stock-style pinion shafts. Proper installation and sizing required during engine service.
